The Boston Red Sox are nearing a deal to hire Andrew Bailey as their new pitching coach.

Bailey, 39, pitched for the Red Sox from 2012-13.

As a coach, Bailey spent two years with the Los Angeles Angels before taking over as San Francisco Giants pitching coach going into 2020. Bailey held that role for four seasons.
