Shohei Ohtani is expected to command more than $500 million in free agency.

However, winning will drive Ohtani's decision on where he'll sign more than anything else.

"It's been very clear throughout the process that winning is going to top everything," Jim Bowden said on MLB Network Radio. "It's not about the most money. It's about the best chances of the most times on the World Series stage."

Bowden added that he wouldn't be surprised if the San Francisco Giants were the top bidder for Ohtani, but that doesn't mean that's where he'll land.
