The Washington Nationals have begun to fill some vacancies on their coaching staff.

Washington has hired Gerardo Parra as the new first base coach and Ricky Gutierrez as the new third base coach.

Parra and Gutierrez are taking over for Eric Young, Jr. and Gary DiSarcina, respectively, as the Nationals parted ways with both coaches following the season.
