It's been a disappointing season for the San Diego Padres and things may be getting worse.

They will miss the postseason despite spending a lot of money in free agency and swinging trades with an eye on a trip to the World Series.

A report by The Athletic detailed San Diego's season, which includes an unnamed player claiming that the relationship between general manager A.J. Preller and manager Bob Melvin is "unfixable."

Preller has acknowledged he and Melvin don't always see eye-to-eye, though he called it "healthy debate."
