The Chicago Cubs are moving Drew Smyly back to the bullpen.

Smyly had been listed as the Cubs' starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Cubs had used Smyly three times in relief last week but gave him the start on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers. He allowed seven runs in less than four innings.

Smyly had worked a scoreless inning in each of the aforementioned three bullpen appearances.
