Matt Olson homered on Thursday night, tying him with Shohei Ohtani for the Major League lead with 40 home runs this season.

With 49 games left on the Atlanta Braves' schedule, Olson needs 12 more long balls to break Andruw Jones' single-season franchise record.

The possibility of Olson reaching the 60-home run plateau is also in play. While hitting 20 more home runs might seem like unlikely, Olson has clubbed 22 homers in his past 45 games.
