The Los Angeles Angels have discussed a possible trade with the Washington Nationals involving Jeimer Candelario, according to a report.

Candelario, 29, spent several years with the Detroit Tigers before struggling in 2022. The Tigers non-tendered him rather than giving him a raise in what would've been his final year of arbitration eligibility, and the Nationals added him on a one-year, $5 million deal in free agency.

In 398 plate appearances, Candelario has rebounded with a .257/.338/.486 slash line.
