The Houston Astros controversially acquired Roberto Osuna following a domestic violence incident that led to a 75-game suspension from Major League Baseball.

Osuna gave up a two-run home run to tie Game 6 of the ALCS in the top of the ninth inning, but one staffer of the Astros taunted three female reporters in their clubhouse shortly after Jose Altuve hit the series-clinching home run.

Assistant general manager Brandon Taubman turned to a group of three female reporters and yelled half a dozen times “Thank God we got Osuna! I’m so f------ glad we got Osuna!” One of the reporters was wearing a purple domestic violence awareness bracelet.

The outburst was offensive and frightening enough that another staffer of the Astros apologized. The franchise has declined to comment and declined to make Taubman available for an interview.
