Dave Martinez didn't travel with the Washington Nationals for Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals after undergoing a heart procedure.
Mike Rizzo said Martinez had a minor cardiac catheterization.
Martinez, 54, experienced chest pains during Washington's home game Sunday against the Atlanta Braves, left in the sixth inning and was taken to a hospital.
Chip Hale will manage the Nationals during Martinez's absence.
