The Philadelphia Phillies are in dire need of pitching help as the trade deadline approaches.

The Phillies haven't made the postseason since 2011 and have slumped since a hot start to 2019.

Jim Bowden suggests that Matthew Boyd and/or Shane Greene of the Detroit Tigers could be options for the Phillies.

"Boyd would fit nicely in the Phillies' rotation, giving them a lefty to follow Aaron Nola," Bowden writes, "and Greene would certainly upgrade the back end of their pen."
