The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking for some right-handed hitting and have had "ongoing and active discussions" with the Pittsburgh Pirates about Starling Marte, according to a report.

Marte is under contract through 2021.

Even after trading Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp to the Cincinnati Reds, the Dodgers have a surplus of outfielders.

Marte carries a base salary of $10 million this coming season.
