Initial estimates were that Kenley Jansen would miss a month because of an irregular heartbeat, but he could return to the Los Angeles Dodgers much sooner.

Jansen left the Dodgers just one week ago.

"Kenley is in a good place," Dave Roberts said Thursday night. "There's a cardiologist appointment on the 20th and hopefully we get the green light from there."

Roberts also said that Jansen has been staying in pitching shape and could "absolutely" be back sooner than expected. If he gets the "green light" on Monday, it's possible he could pitch for the Dodgers early next week.
