The New York Yankees have agreed to acquire Giancarlo Stanton from the Miami Marlins.

Stanton previously rejected proposed trades to the Giants and Cardinals using his full no-trade clause. The Dodgers were believed to be his preferred destination.

Staton and Aaron Judge combined to hit 111 homers last season. Both players are right fielders, however, and one will need to learn a new position defensively when not playing designated hitter.

The Marlins are expected to acquire Starlin Castro and prospects as part of the deal.

Stanton signed a 13-year, $325 million deal three years ago.
