Dusty Baker wants to manage the Washington Nationals next season, but the club hasn't offered him an extension.

Baker has his sights set on his 2,000 victory and a World Series title.

"Why not? This is what I came here for," the 67-year-old manager said. "I didn't come for two years. I came to win back-to-back titles."

Baker's two-year contract expires after this season and he has made it clear that he wants to keep managing.

"I mentioned it to one of the primary people [in Nationals management]. And I mentioned it to [General Manager Mike Rizzo] one time," he said. "That's enough. They know."
