Unless they make a late change, the Minnesota Twins are expected to pass on taking high school phenom Hunter Greene with the No. 1 overall pick next month.

A high school right-hander has never been taken with the first pick.

Greene has hit 100 mph and is also a very good shortstop. He's viewed as a pitcher by Major League clubs.

Minnesota's choices have come down to Vanderbilt pitcher Kyle Wright, Louisville pitcher/first baseman Brendan McKay and San Juan Capistrano Junipero Serra shortstop Royce Lewis.
