After throwing 30 pitches during a bullpen session in Baltimore on Friday, David Price is scheduled to throw 45-50 times on Monday in Boston.

A recent bout of soreness in his injured left elbow slowed his rehabilitation progress.

"I don't think [the soreness is] a complete surprise when you begin to ramp up the intensity and the volume, you've got to monitor and adjust based, in this case, on what David is feeling and his feedback," John Farrell said. "So we're back on track."

There is no plan in place yet for Price to throw to live hitters.
