Josh Hamilton has suffered yet another knee injury, and this one could mean the end of his career.

The Rangers released the former AL MVP from his minor league contract Friday, saying he injured his right knee in Houston while working his way back from left knee surgery.

Hamilton, who turns 36 next month, underwent reconstructive surgery on his left knee last June and left the team during spring training for another procedure after experiencing soreness.
