The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to a six-year contract extension with Stephen Piscotty that runs through the 2022 season and includes an option for 2023.
According to a report, the deal is worth $33.5 million.
The 26-year-old hit .273/.343/.457 with 22 home runs and seven stolen bases last season.
"I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to go into battle with. I'm surrounded by winners, competitors and outright studs," Piscotty said. "This team this year is special, and I think everyone got a glimpse of that last night. Look out for this team this year."
