The Los Angeles Dodgers have a contract offer on the table to re-sign Justin Turner, and the two sides are close to a deal, according to a source.

Turner signed with the Dodgers before the 2014 season.

He had his best major league season in 2016, batting .275 with a .493 slugging percentage, well above his career mark of .439. Turner easily established career bests in home runs (27), RBIs (90) and doubles (34).
