The Los Angeles Angels asked the St. Louis Cardinals about the availability of Kolten Wong this week.

The Cardinals, however, want to keep Wong as they greatly value his defensive ability.

“"None of us have shied away from the fact that this should be a top-tier defender at second base," Mike Matheny said. "And we're never going to back off that, and neither should he."
