The five-year, $86 million deal the New York Yankees agreed to with Aroldis Chapman on Wednesday includes a unique no-trade clause.

Chapman, who can opt out of the deal after three years, cannot be traded to a West Coast-based team.

All and all, Chapman has a full no-trade clause through the first three years of the deal and a limited no-trade clause for the last two.

"I just didn't want to go that far from my family. I did have the opportunity to stay here near my house (in Florida, playing with the Miami Marlins) but no, I leaned more towards (going to) New York," the reliever told ESPN's Marly Rivera.
