The Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday night in a classic that included dramatic hits, extra innings and even a brief rain delay.

The game was delayed heading into the tenth inning with the score tied 6-6.

During the delay, the Cubs huddled in the weight room at Progressive Field and Jason Heyward rallied the club with a speech.

Addison Russell told reporters after the game that he and others were crying due to all the emotion in the room.

All members of the Cubs opted to keep the details of Heyward's speech private, but acknowledged it wasn't the first time he'd pulled everyone together.
