The Chicago Cubs haven't ruled out playing Kyle Schwarber in the outfield when the World Series shifts to Wrigley Field for Games 3, 4 and 5 this weekend.

"We'll see where it goes," Schwarber said. "Nothing's set in stone. No one's told me anything, so as of right now, the story is still the same."

Schwarber missed all but three games of the regular season after tearing two ligaments in his left knee in early April, but doctors cleared him last week to play, though not in the field. He served as designated hitter in Games 1 and 2.

"I have no idea," Joe Maddon said. "We're going to go back. We have a mandatory workout tomorrow, so we're going to be at the ballpark. If it's OK, possibly, you might see him taking some fly balls, if there's any chance at all."
