The Cleveland Indians had Carlos Santana taking fly balls in left field just before they started batting practice on Tuesday.

Santana has never played in the outfield as a Major Leaguer, but the Indians will lose the ability to use him as the designated hitter when the World Series shifts to Wrigley Field.

"We'd just like to find a way to keep his bat in the lineup," bench coach Brad Mills said.

The Indians considered playing Santana in right field when they played in Philadelphia earlier this year, but it never happened.

"I'd be surprised as you if Carlos plays out there, but it's something to think about," Mills said.
