The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Texas Rangers 10-1 in Game 1 of the ALDS on Thursday afternoon thanks to a huge third inning.

The Blue Jays scored five runs in the third. Josh Donaldson kicked things off with an RBI double and Jose Bautista followed with an RBI single before Troy Tulowitzki tripled in three runs off Cole Hamels.

Marco Estrada allowed just four hits over 8.1 innings, tossing 98 pitches for Toronto.

With the game long decided, Bautista added a three-run home run in the ninth inning at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

The Blue Jays and Rangers will face off in Game 2 on Friday at 1:00 PM EST with J.A. Happ and Yu Darvish on the mound.
