The New York Mets are said to be in talks with London mayor Sadiq Khan, who recently threw out the first pitch at Citi Field, about playing a regular season game overseas.

"We're in discussions about MLB and we want MLB to come to London," Khan said.

"What we're discussing with Major League Baseball is for them to come here during the summer, which works for us for obvious reasons. They are very excited."

Back in July, Major League Baseball put plans to host a 2017 game in London on hold.
