DENVER -- The Chicago Cubs placed right-handed pitchers John Lackey and Hector Rondon on the 15-day disabled list Friday, the team announced.

Both underwent MRIs on Thursday, with Lackey's revealing a right shoulder strain and Rondon's revealing right triceps strain, the team said.
