Sonny Gray has yet to resume throwing and the Oakland Athletics don't know if he'll pitch for them again this season.

Gray is receiving treatment for muscle strains in his forearm while allowing fluid buildup in his elbow to subside. He won't be able to begin a strengthening program until the inflammation diminishes.

"It just depends," Bob Melvin said of Gray pitching again this season. "I don't know that it's necessarily important, but it's nice to know that you're healthy again and you don't have to worry about it in the offseason. But it's not like we're going to push him to try to get him out there just to get him out there."
