The Yankees announced they will hold a news conference with Alex Rodriguez before Sunday's game against Cleveland.

In its announcement Saturday night, New York didn't detail the purpose of the gathering at Yankee Stadium. The team said GM Brian Cashman and manager Joe Girardi will be made available following Rodriguez's news conference at 11 a.m. ET.

The 41-year-old DH, a 14-time All-Star, has a .204 average this year with nine homers and 29 RBIs in 216 at-bats.
