The Minnesota Twins have no plans to let Paul Molitor go despite firing Terry Ryan.

Molitor said he was informed by team ownership on Sunday that the Twins would like him to remain as manager for the 2017 season.

"I'm grateful because I want to keep doing it," Molitor said. "I want to be part of the solution of the team doing better."

The Twins entered the day with the worst record in the American League at 33-58, 21 games out of first place in the AL Central Division.
