Lucas Giolito will make his Major League debut with the Washington Nationals on Tuesday against the New York Mets.

Giolito, who is considered by many to be baseball's top-rated prospect, will fill in for Stephen Strasburg, who was placed on the disabled list with an upper back strain.

The right-hander is 5-3 with a 3.17 ERA in 14 starts for Double-A Harrisburg.

The Nationals drafted Giolito 16th overall in 2012.
