The Milwaukee Brewers appear to have found a gem in Jonathan Villar, who they acquired from the Houston Astros, and he has established himself as a starting shortstop.

Villar, 25, is hitting .300/.398/.441 with five home runs, 25 RBI and 22 stolen bases.

The Brewers have a great shortstop prospect in Orlando Arcia, but that doesn't mean Villar will become a trade chip.

"We are looking to acquire players like that," Stearns said.
