Yu Darvish left Wednesday's start in the fifth inning with shoulder tightness in just his third appearance since returning from Tommy John surgery.

Initial tests by team physician Dr. Keith Meister revealed no issues.

"If I had to, I feel like I could make my next start," Darvish said through an interpreter. "Everybody told me that after the Tommy John surgery, you go through all those things in different parts of your body. I think it's one of those things, so I'm not too concerned about that."

Darvish wasn't the only player to leave the Texas Rangers' loss to the Houston Astros. Adrian Beltre departed in the eight inning after grabbing his hamstring as he advanced to second base on a single by Prince Fielder.

Beltre, who was receiving treatment after the game, was unavailable for comment.
