The New York Yankees may begin trading off valuable pieces as the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline approaches and Andrew Miller could prove to be one of the most marketable players on the block.

Miller is owed just $18 million combined over the 2017 and 2018 seasons and has proven that he can be productive in high-leverage situations.

The Yankees could deal Miller to a club facing pressure to win now. The Chicago Cubs are in that situation, but Joel Sherman says that wouldn't consider moving Kyle Schwarber, lost for the season to injury, for the lefty reliever.

"Their love for Schwarber is just too great. They reasoned that the Mets wouldn’t trade Michael Conforto (from the top of the same draft class as Schwarber) for Miller, and they think Schwarber is a better hitter," Sherman writes.
