In an attempt to jump-start their struggling offense, the Toronto Blue Jays batted Jose Bautista leadoff on Thursday night for the first time since 2010.

Toronto's offense didn't explode, but they defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-2 in 11 innings.

Bautista last led off for the Blue Jays on June 15, 2010. He went 1-for-3 with a walk against the Twins.

Josh Donaldson batted second, followed by Edwin Encarnacion in the third spot and Justin Smoak in the cleanup spot.
