John Farrell won't be suspended for returning to the dugout and field following his ejection during Friday's game between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees, according to a source.

Farrell was ejected by home-plate umpire Ron Kulpa for arguing a called strike two to David Ortiz in the ninth inning of the game. After leaving the dugout briefly, Farrell returned for the next pitch, a called third strike, and ran onto the field to hold back Ortiz, who had charged out of the dugout to scream at Kulpa.

The manager won't miss any games, but could be fined, according to the source. He said before Monday night's game against the Oakland Athletics at Fenway Park that he has not heard from Major League Baseball about any discipline.
