The Washington Nationals have agreed to a seven-year, $175 million contract extension with Stephen Strasburg, according to sources.

The Nationals won't make an official announcement until Tuesday.

Strasburg was slated to become a free agent after this season.

The deal is believed to contain multiple opt-outs.
