Despite disappointing results last season after big moves in his first offseason, A.J. Preller's job with the San Diego Padres isn't in jeopardy.

San Diego set a team record for payroll, but won just 74 games.

There have been rumors that Preller's bosses are so upset that the general manager is on the hot seat, but Mike Dee denies the claims.

"Not true," Dee said. "We have more confidence and excitement about him as GM than when we hired him in 2014. ... He's here for the long haul."
