The Chicago Cubs want Kyle Schwarber's left-handed bat in the lineup regularly and making him Jason Hammel's personal catcher is one way to accomplish that.

"I'm comfortable with Hammel, and I think he's comfortable with me," Schwarber said after catching the right-hander on Tuesday. "He's making it easy on me back there."

Hammel has been sharp this spring with a 1.20 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 15 innings.
