Byron Buxton entered spring training as the likely starting center fielder for the Minnesota Twins, but the club wasn't going to guarantee the top prospect anything.

Buxton struggled in his 138 plate appearances at the Major League level in 2015, hitting .209/.250/.326 with 44 strikeouts and just six walks.

The 22-year-old has started a majority of Minnesota's exhibition games in center, while his competition (Danny Santana) has appeared all over the field.
