The New York Yankees worked Starlin Castro at third base very early in camp, but have since nixed the plan to play him at the position.

New York is looking for Chase Headley's backup.

"At first they said we are going to try and see if I like it," Castro said. "They wanted me to be comfortable [at second], and that's what I wanted, too."

Rob Refsnyder has been taking grounders at third and may now be in play for a Major League roster spot.
