The Baltimore Orioles are moving closer to signing Yovani Gallardo, according to a source.

The two sides are in serious discussion on a three-year deal. Baltimore has long been interested in Gallardo, who only recently dropped his desired contract length.

Buster Olney of ESPN reports that Gallardo would be guaranteed $40 to $45 million over a three-year deal.

Gallardo, 29, pitched to a 13-11 record with a 3.42 ERA last season with the Texas Rangers, who extended a qualifying offer to him this offseason.
