The Colorado Rockies are expected to part ways with Kyle Parker, who was their top pick in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft, according to sources.

Colorado needs to make room on their 40-man roster for Gerardo Parra.

The Rockies declined to identify the player who will be replaced, but are expected to announce a move Wednesday morning.

The right-handed-hitting Parker, 26, saw action in 64 games over the last two seasons. He hit .182 with three home runs and 12 RBIs in 138 plate appearances.
