The New York Mets have not extended a formal contract offer to Yoenis Cespedes, but they remain interested in potentially re-signing him on a short-term deal, according to a report.

Cespedes is reportedly looking for a long-term deal, but the Mets would like to limit an agreement to one to three years.

The outfielder is believed to be considering a five-year, $90 million offer from the Baltimore Orioles.
