The Baltimore Orioles continue to wait on Chris Davis, who remains available on the free agent market.

Baltimore made a competitive offer to Davis -- a seven-year contract in the range of $154 million.

The Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants have also been linked to the slugger.

Orioles owner Peter Angelos is a big Davis fan and wants him back, but time is becoming a factor.

"That's not surprising at all, the way that camp does business," Buck Showalter, who has not talked to Davis recently, said of the timeline. "It wouldn't surprise me if it went to February. It wouldn't surprise me if it goes to March."
