The San Diego Padres are still looking for a shortstop and have placed a priority on adding one to the Major League roster.

Reports have indicated that San Diego remains in contact with representatives for Ian Desmond and Alexei Ramirez.

The Padres first spoke to Desmond and Ramirez last month.
