The Kansas City Royals have "no chance" to re-sign Alex Gordon, according to a report.

Gordon, 31, spent his first nine Major League seasons with the Royals and was named an All-Star the past three years.

The Royals offered the outfielder a four-year deal worth $12 million to $13 million annually, according to an ESPN report. However, Gordon is seeking a contract worth closer to $20 million each year and has plenty of suitors.
