Jay Bruce, a rumored trade candidate, has a no-trade clause that allows him to block a deal to eight teams, according to a source.

The Cincinnati Reds are willing to listen to offers for anyone on their roster and Bruce, who is due to make $12.5 million in 2016 and has a $13 million club option for 2017 with a $1 million buyout, has a movable contract.

Bruce can block a trade to the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Oakland Athletics, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, Minnesota Twins, Cleveland Indians and Arizona Diamondbacks.
