Royce Clayton's tour of the major leagues continued Wednesday, when the shortstop signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Blue Jays. Toronto becomes the 10th team on the resume of Clayton, who split the 2006 season with Washington and Cincinnati. The 36-year-old batted .269 and drove in 27 runs in 87 games with the Nationals before being traded on July 13 to the Reds, for whom he hit 235 with two home runs and 13 RBI.
