Daniel Murphy will be courted by other teams as a free agent, but the second baseman would like to re-sign with the New York Mets.

"I like it here," Murphy said following the final game of the World Series. "I'd like to come back. We'll have to see."

The Mets are expected to issue Murphy a qualifying offer of $15.8 million for next season, which would allow them to receive a draft pick should he sign elsewhere. He is expected to command a four-year deal worth more than $10 million annually, a deal the Mets are unlikely to match.
